Introduction: We are introducing new method of application of our Liquid Organic manure Spray mixture (that is 10 Litres water + 10ml LOM Strong or 10 Litres water + 8ml LOM CD mixture), as  an instant solid Organic manure mix (ISOMM).

In this method instead of spraying the LOM Water mix, 10 litres LOM Water mix is added to 15 to 17 litres cut agro waste (semi dried or fully dried or freshly cut) and soaked for 15 to 30 minutes, then applied to the soil as Soil manure/Compost.
The following steps are involved:

1. First prepare, 10 Litres LOM Water mix, followin the videos.



2. Agro waste: That is, crop after harvest is generally called as agro waste. Semi dried agro waste is ideal, that is, 3 or 7 days old agro waste can be cut to pieces, less than half inch, with help of Shredder machine (Agro waste cutter) or Shredder attached to a Tractor. You may need agro waste crop from 1/10th of an acre, which is considered sufficient for 2 or even 3 applications. Cut these waste agro crops, and dry them and store them in gunny bags. One gunny bag may be about 35 litres, sufficient for making ISOMM in about 2 buckets. So, you may need 25 to 30 bags of dried agro waste for use for the next crop.

Choose only agro waste, that are edible by cattle (Cows, Buffalos or Goats etc). Avoid bitter plants link neem, bitter guard, highly aromatic flower plants, poisiounes crops, medicinal crops, weeds, or any crop, that may contain whole seeds after harvest. Avoid full seeds in the agro cuttings, as these may grow if applied to soil. Ensure, seedless agro waste. Avoid agro waste, applied with pesticides, with in 40 days earlier, as these may contain pesticide residues in them. Avoid all weeds.
In general, vegetable, paddy, wheat, sugarcane, root crops, pulses, dhals, oil seed crops are ideal for using as agro waste for making ISOMM. In these crops also avoid full seeds in the agro cuttings.

3. Making ISOMM: Take a 25 litres bucket. In this bucket take up to 15 litres (or 17 litres) level agro waste cut pieces. Separately prepare 10 Litres LOM Spray mixture. Pour or add this 10 litres LOM Spray mixture to the 15~17 litres agro cut pieces in the bucket. Mix by hand 4 or 5 times as you see in this video. Leave it as it is for 10 to 20 minutes. If agro cuttings are totally dried, soak them for 30 minutes. Generally for semi dry agro cuttings 10 to 15 minutes soaking is enough. Always prepare in 2 numbers 25 litres buckets to save time.

4. ISOMM is ready: After 10 or 20 minutes, you can see about 20 to 22 litres of solid agro waste organic manure is ready in the bucket. This solid organic manure is having high content of nutrients required for soil nutrition. This prepared 20 to 22 litres can be spread over an area of about 2000 square feet. Thus about 20 buckets like this will be required to apply solid organic agro waste manure mixture for one full acre. For booster applications, even 12 to 16 buckets for 1 acre is sufficient.

5. How to apply or spread ISOMM on Soil?: Take out in small basins of about 3 to 5 litres at a time, and throw by hand over the agri field. 

6. Ideal time for applying this is on empty land, just before seeding or planting new saplings. Or this can be applied when plants height is only about 6 or 8 or 10 inches, so the manure thrown reaches the soil and do not fall on plant leaves. In case of row plants or creepers or trees, this can be applied anytime, as soil around roots are mostly visible. Generally give a gap of 10 days, (both before and after), between LOM Spray and this solid manure applying.

7. Immediate watering required for soil / plants: After applying ISOMM, this is just solid manure, cannot be absorbed by plant roots. So plenty of watering is required, by proper irrigation method or by drenching method, so ISOMM gets mixed with water and goes below soil, so plant roots can absorb. Watering by this method is required once in 2 or 3 or 4 days, for plants to get benefits of ISOMM application. For insect, disease control repeat watering once in 3 or 4 days is compulsory, so plants absorb ISOMM continously. However spraying LOM Water mix once in 5 days is a better solution for solving insect problems.

8. 2nd ISOMM application is required after 15 days of first application, if the plants are not suffering from any insects or pests. Apply ISOMM 2nd time after 10 days, that is on 11th day, to solve insect or pest or disease problem. However spraying LOM Water mix once in 5 days is a better solution for solving insect problems.

9. 3rd application of ISOMM can be given again after 10 or 15 days. Spraying of LOM Spray mix can be given anytme with a gap of 10 days before  or 10 days after ISOMM application. 

10. ISOMM may be applied 6 or 7 days after LOM Spraying. 

11. Digging soil around trees is essential for ISOMM application, as repeated watering is required to solve insect or disease problems.  If there are no insects or diseases, watering can be done once a week or in case of rainfed crops, farmers can wait for more rains.

 

 

12. If rains are too much or excessive, then, ISOMM may float in water and may go to the nearby fields. So raise height of  bunds on the boundaries of land to protect ISOMM from floating and going to other fields.  

13. 100% Organic (Low Cost) farming is possible with our LOM C, by using ISOMM and spraying method of applications.  Very high yield can be expected compared to chemical farming. By using ISOMM and spraying of LOM mix, farmers can totally avoid chemical fertilizers or pesticide and can achieve 100% Organic farming. 

14. If chemical fertilizer applied in the soil, reccently, do not apply ISOMM for 30 days from the time of applying chemical fertilizers. After 30 days you may apply ISOMM as soil manure.

Note: However LOM Water mix spray may be given even one or 2 days after applying chemical fertilizers in the soil.

15. How to apply ISOMM to trees and orchards?

Quantity for 1 acre: Generally apply ISOMM at 20 buckets, that is about 400 litres of prepared ISOMM to one acre of trees. Divide this 400 litres by the number of trees and apply equally. For example, if there are 100 trees, apply 4 litres ISOMM to each tree. If 80 trees, apply 5 litres ISOMM to each tree. If 40 trees, then apply 10 litres ISOMM to each tree. Generally 20 buckets of prepared ISOMM, that is, 400 llitres ISOOM is considered enough for 1 acre of trees.

For individual trees, measure the diameter of the base trunk size of the tree in inches, divide it by 3,  that many litres of ISOMM apply to each tree.

For trees with 24 inches diameter apply 8 litres of ISOMM
For trees with 18 inches diameter apply 6 litres of ISOMM
For trees with 12 inches diameter apply 4 litres ISOMM

For example, If tree is very big apply 10 litres of ISOMM, for big trees, apply 7 or 8 litres of ISOMM, for medium trees, apply 5 litres. For small tree apply 2 or 3 litres of ISOMM.

Frequency of ISOMM application trees: Generally at the beginning, for first 2 times, apply once in 10 days, (next 2 times) increase the gap to once in 15 days, then (next 2 times) apply once in 30 days. After 3 months, apply once in 45 days or 2 months.

Plenty of watering is required for ISOMM to work, so apply ISOMM generally before rainy season, or irrigate the field well with water. 

Simple method of ISOMM preparation:

If agro waste cuttings are not available, farmers can prepare, ISOMM with 15 litres of soil plus 10 litres of LOM Spray mix and mix by hand 4 or 5 times only, and then apply the same to crops. But one condition for this method is, while apply soil based ISOMM, 2 inch or 1 inch water should be standing in the field, while applying ISOMM to crops.

This method suits Paddy fields and some wetland crops where water is always standing in the fields.

For Dryland crops: For this purpose, make small plots with in the fields, apply plenty of water to each plot, make water standing in the field, then apply ISOMM.

This is the most cost effective method of ISOMM application.
